“Travnička lepina” is a gastronomic heritage from our ancestors dating back to 1865. “Travnička lepina” is a living museum of gastronomy, with unchanged recipes and methods for two centuries. Product

The uniqueness of the “Travnička lepina” comes from its ingredients, the method of baking, and the love and tradition woven into every piece. This Lepina, known locally as “Pitica”, is made from wheat flour, yeast, spring water, and cornmeal. It contains no additives or modern chemical components, preserving the ancient recipe that has been passed down for centuries. This gives it its special character, unmistakable flavor, and irreplaceable essence.

To ensure our Lepina can be enjoyed across Europe, after baking, we subject it to deep freezing. This way, when you defrost it, it regains the freshness of a freshly baked loaf. Each Lepina weighs 220g.

The completeness of its texture and taste enriches every dish. The dance between flatbread and ćevapi is unmatched. Can you even imagine ćevapi without Lepina? It complements the full structure and flavor of the dish. Our Lepina is essential with (especially) ćevapi, but also with any grilled dishes, adding a special touch to traditional Bosnian meals. It can even replace bread on any occasion. As we said, the texture and flavor will add an extra note to any dish.

Preparation

1. Take the Lepina out of the packaging and leave it at room temperature for 60 minutes.

2. For preparing Lepina with ćevapi, cut the Lepina, prepare a beef broth, and dip the Lepina in it. Place the soaked Lepina on the grill for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to absorb the smoky flavor of the ćevapi. Finally, serve the grilled ćevapi inside the Lepina.

Quick preparation

1. Take the Lepina out of the packaging and place it in the microwave at 400W for 2 minutes.

2. For preparing Lepina with ćevapi, cut the Lepina, prepare a beef broth, and dip the Lepina in it. Place the soaked Lepina on the grill for 2-3 minutes, letting it absorb the smoky flavor of the ćevapi. Serve the ćevapi inside the Lepina.
